MARIO MENDOZA

PERSONAL INFORMATION Mario Mendoza Zambrano was born in the city of Bogotá in 1964. He is fifty years old and he is writer, professor and journalist. He studied at the Refous School and at the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogotá, where he obtained a master's degree in Latin American Literature. One of his most outstanding books are: "The melancholy of the ugly" 2016), "Satanas"(2002), "Paranormal Colombia"(2014), "Story o a murderer" (2001), "Lady Massacre"(2013), among other. In his novels you can trace the neighborhoods, bridges, schools, streets, universities, parks and changes that Colombian capital has underground in these decades.

HIS DAYLY ROUTINE Mario Mendoza wakes up at 7 o'clock in the morning, take a shower and prepares a coffe to star. Turn on your computer and inform yourself about the most important news of the city. He thinks about his ideas in the middle of the study of his apartament. He eats lunch and in the afternoon he dedicates himself to traslating his writings. At night, drink a cup of tea and enjoy the silence.

ACTIVITIES HE LIKES AND DISLIKES Mario Mendoza is a lover of reading, he likes to write, research and analyze unfair situations that love in our appresive system. Enjoy being silent, oserving the streets and the capital passages, the sunsets and worries of the peoples, especially the young people. He also enjoys a good caffe on a cold day.  The activities that Mario does not like are related to sports, because he prefers to invest his time in reading or in shorts walks through the city of Bogotá. Curiously, he has smoked for some years of his life but does not like the smell of cigaretes. He does not like parties, but sometimes he likes to go dancing.

WHAT IS HER HOUSE? Although it is not known exaclty where his work site is located, it is known that Mario writes and is inspired from his apartment in the city of Bogotá. In one of the interviews he said that it is a very cozy space, with two rooms, a small room and a kitchen. He has expressed that his large studio stands out, which is full of books, a computer, a comfortable chair and diares where he writes down many of his ideas. The room has three small sofas and a black wood dining room, a Tv, a record player to listen to your favorite classic music and an old phone. Your room has a small bed, a bedside table and some boxes of your favorite painters. he admits that he loves to colect board games and that chess is his favorite.
